Thirteen days in China, from Shanghai to Beijing, then Luoyang and Xi'an. International flights, 4★ hotels with breakfast, private transfers and the three high-speed train journeys on the programme are included. Day-by-day itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Shanghai, welcome and private transfer to the hotel, free time.
• Day 2 : Shanghai: Nanjing Road, the Bund promenade, a cruise on the Huangpu River and the Tianzifang artists' quarter.
• Day 3 : Shanghai: the City God Temple and Yu Garden, the Jin Mao Tower observation deck, the Zhujiajiao water village and time for shopping.
• Day 4 : High-speed train from Shanghai to Beijing, welcome by a driver and transfer to the hotel. Day with driver only, no guide.
• Day 5 : Beijing: Tiananmen Square (exterior view), Jingshan Park with an exterior view of the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven.
• Day 6 : The Great Wall at Juyongguan, then a photo stop in front of the Bird's Nest stadium and the Water Cube (exterior views).
• Day 7 : The Summer Palace (entry ticket included), the Shichahai district and a walk through the traditional Beijing neighborhoods (hutongs).
• Day 8 : High-speed train from Beijing to Luoyang. Day with driver only, no guide.
• Day 9 : The Longmen Grottoes (UNESCO), the White Horse Temple and the old town of Luoyi; in the evening, high-speed train to Xi'an. Day with driver only, no guide.
• Day 10 : The Terracotta Army, the Bell and Drum Towers, the Muslim Quarter and a pedestrian leisure district.
• Day 11 : The Xi'an city wall and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda; free afternoon.
• Day 12 : Domestic flight from Xi'an to Shanghai (not included), night in a hotel near the airport.
• Day 13 : Shuttle to the airport and departure. End of services.
